Please join us to complete & open the one mile long Oxbow Run section at Wahlfield Trail (WMMBA) on Weds Night, July 13th from 5:30pm to 8:30 pm. Meet in the parking lot by the WMMBA trailer. We will move to the old Farm house on 8 Mile to stage. Bring boots, gloves, bug juice & water. Expect some benching, raking, and general trimming to get the new section open. Oh and bring a bike, if we can complete it we’ll ride it in!!
Please help us complete the next section of the new loop at Cannonsburg Ski Area Trail (WMMBA) on Wednesday, July 8th from 6 to 8:30 pm. With this section we’ll be able to make it a loop connecting back to the existing trail with a temporary route. Meet in the parking lot by the WMMBA trailer. Bring boots, gloves, water, and bug spray! Tools provided.
We are just days into the new year, the snow finally showed up (hopefully, to stay this time) and time for the January, WMMBA Member Meeting!
Many of us made a few resolutions for the new year, ride more, ride at night, get involved with the WMMBA, etc…
We want to help you keep those resolutions.
This Wednesday night, we will be meeting at the Indian Trails Golf Course. With the new snow on the ground, Indian Trails will have their groomed fat bike course open and ready for the season and we would like you to help us ride it in.
Afterward, the club house will be open, with roaring fire to warm you back up, beverages available on tap and yes, there will be food!
Central District Cyclery will be serving up the food! They’ll have roast pig, vegetarian beens and all the other fixings as well!
Central District Cyclery will also be contributing $15 towards any new WMMBA membership! We’ve spoke with a lot of you who are on the fence about becoming a WMMBA member and CDC would like to make it a bit easier to jump on board. We’ll be there to answer questions about membership and tell you about some of the great things the WMMBA has lined up for the year.
So, grab your fat bike, grab your friends, bring your appetite and join us on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015. Ride time starts at 6pm, food starts at 7pm and meeting time is 7:30 (ish).
Lights and helmets are required on he course, so bring them, please.

It’s always amusing when someone asks, “what do you do in your off season?”. For many of us, the tires get fatter, we add a few more layers and we strap on lights!
Join us this Thursday evening at Cannonsburg ski area where we will be focusing on “the off-season” riding and fitness options. Heidi LaPlante from Cycling XT (soon to be The Shift) will be discussing in-door training, Jill Martindale will say a few words about her experience at the Nite National race and we’ll hear some highlights from, world class mountain biker, Danielle Musto and her race in Scotland! We tell you what’s new with the WMMBA as well.
Cannonburg will be opening their doors and will have food and beverages available.
Also, bring your bike and your lights and come early as we will be hitting the trails for a pre-meeting ride at 5:45. If you’ve never ridden the trails at night, we will make sure we won’t loose you.
