2022 Trailwork Season and Crew Update

Allies,

We have a busy 2022 trailwork season planned!

  • 3 new trail projects

  • 1 major trail maintenance project

  • numerous small trail maintenance projects

  • at this time are developing new or addon trail projects at a rate of 1-2 a year for the next 3-5 years.

In support of this schedule we are trying something different.

We are looking for 12-15 people that will be involved in all projects rather than a trail coordinator that is involved with one trail. Ultimately crew members may decide to stay with the crew or move into a leadership position such as a trail coordinator or committee chair within the WMMBA.

This may be modified over time, but currently we think this is the job description:

  • a minimum of two years participation

  • ability to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs

  • ability to perform repetitive use of hand trail tools such as a shovel or mcleod

  • ability to follow safety procedures

  • a desire to learn trail design and trail building methods

  • available to work a minimum of 2 trail work events a month

  • lead small teams on projects

  • no one has a desire to fill out paperwork, but it's part of the job

If this is you, we would like to hear from you. Sign up: https://forms.gle/4MoDD6udi6LhM76t5

There will be work days posted at trails that are open to all. If your preference is to work on a specific trail(s) we ask that you wait and sign up for the specific trail work at that trail.
