Trail Spotlight: Luton Park
If you're hanging out inside during the winter storm today, join us in brushing up on our trail knowledge with a little WMMBA trail spotlight! Local favorite, Luton Park. If you're from out of town and haven't visited yet, you should come check it out this year. Some details:
- About 8 miles of bike trail
- About 430ft of elevation
- 6 different loops with varying difficulty
- Trails ride counter-clockwise
- Higher clay content (Avoid when wet!)
- Not groomed in winter
- Multi-use friendly (excluding motorized/equestrian)
- Dogs welcome but must be leashed
- New bathrooms built in 2020
- Main Trailhead: 5950 10 Mile Rd NE, Rockford
- Open 7am to sunset
Recent reports show trail is muddy and icy, but after this current storm you might get a few days of solid fatbiking before it warms up again.
